Once again, I have little to report and as I write we have just entered the second lockdown. My decision to delay the AGM has been favourably received so let’s hope it will be possible to meet by April next year, at the latest!
It is interesting that there appears to be more new joiners to MSCC in our patch than I have seen in previous years and those that have responded to my welcome email have alluded to the fact that lockdown gave them an opportunity to reflect on some of those long-term dreams and make them a reality…..
When things are more normal, I will propose that we hold a “welcome noggin” andinvite all these new owners to come along to meet us and each other.
My thanks go to Dave Waite and Helen Eaton who are examining the potential for alternative meeting places such as village halls and are thinking about different ways we might have refreshments. This might augment the noggin arrangements we had at the Fox and Raven. I sense more discussion and proposals on the topic of noggin meeting venue will be on the table again for the delayed AGM!
Meanwhile, it’s good to stay positive in these challenging times and I agree with Colin Thornton’s remarks in last months Miscellany about belief in the possibility of enjoying and celebrating club membership next year.
